The Torture Prevention Village is an online learning platform of the APT that has been developed to support torture prevention measures in our societies. The platform is divided into four elements:
All courses are hosted in the Campus. To find which course you would like to take, click on ‘Campus’ in the home page. However, to take the full course, you will need to create an account on the TPV (see how to create an account below).
If you experience any challenges or issues with the TPV, please contact us at tpv@apt.ch and provide an explanation of the issue you are facing. Our team is happy to help.
Click on the ‘Create an Account’ button and fill out the boxes correctly with the required details. Always use a password you can remember. Note that you will need to confirm your email upon registration. It means that you need to check your mailbox at the same time as you register. For security reasons, the link sent to your mailbox to confirm your email expires after a few minutes. You have to confirm your email to complete the process for creating your account. Be sure to check your Spam or Junk folders for the email.
If your email is already taken by someone else, you can click on ‘Log in’ to select the ‘forgot password’. You will have to fill in the email address so you can receive an email to reset the password. If your username is taken, you will need to choose another username to proceed.
Check the inbox of the email address with which you used to create the account. You will receive an e-mail from TPV after registration requesting you to confirm your account by clicking on ‘Verify your email address’ button to complete the creation of your account.
Ensure that the email you used to register corresponds with your email address, as the confirmation message will be sent to another email address if there is a typo. For example, maybe you typed email@yaho.con instead of email@yahoo.com. Check your spam or junk folders for an email from the TPV. If the message is not there, try adding no-reply@tortureprevention.ch to your contacts or your approved senders list, and then reset your password again. If you still encounter any difficulties, please contact APT at tpv@apt.ch.
Go to the “log in” page and click on ‘forgot password’. You should enter the email address that you used to register and an email will be sent to you shortly with details of how to reset your password.
Check to ensure that the email you provided to recover password is the same you used to register. Reset messages are only sent to registered email addresses. Also, check your spam or junk folders for an email from the TPV. If the message is not there, try adding no-reply@tortureprevention.ch to your contacts or your approved senders list, and then reset your password again. If you previously deleted your account, you will not receive any reset messages.Ensure that you completed the account creation process. For this, you can try registering again with the same email address. If the account does exist, a message will indicate that you entered a duplicate email address. If you still encounter any difficulties, please contact APT at tpv@apt.ch.
When you log into your account, click on your “profile” and on “Additional information” to complete the required fields.
You can change the language at the top right corner of the Home page, and change your preferred language by clicking on ‘Account settings’-’Preferred language’(select from the dropdown menu).
At the top of the home page, select the dropdown menu icon next to your username, then select Account settings. You can insert a new username in the ‘Username’ field and click ‘Save settings’.
At the top of the home page, select the dropdown menu icon next to your username, then select Account settings. You will receive a message to show if this was successful.
